The exhibition "America in Türkiye 1910-1970" opened

Mehmet Ali Dim, President of the Global Journalists Council, gave an exclusive interview to Istanbul Newspaper. Dim said, “In this exhibition, we are showcasing news stories published in the Turkish press between 1910 and 1970, especially diplomatic correspondence during the Cold War. When we talk about America in Türkiye, we are trying to present the perception of America at that time, reflected in the press and documents. These are historical documents. Sivas Cumhuriyet University Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Sefer Darıcı compiled and restored these documents.
Many of these documents were worn, torn, and illegible. The exhibition consists of 50 documents in total. This exhibition is essentially a preview. The actual opening will take place on September 13th at the Turkish Consulate in New York. The exhibition will be presented to Turks and Americans there. An awards ceremony will take place that evening.
"We will be presenting awards to American journalists, businesspeople, and politicians at the awards ceremony. Therefore, this exhibition today serves as a launch event. We would like to thank everyone who attended our exhibition at İstinye University. We will hold a similar exhibition in England next year."
The exhibition will be open to visitors between 4-7 September.
